Rocket Backpack Guide: Max Base Shredding Tips

So you saw a pro clip of the Rocket Backpack shredding a max base, and now you’re itching to dump every ore you own into it. Hold up—let’s talk about what this thing actually does before you make a mistake you’ll regret over your next coffee break. This is a practical guide for real players who want to know if it’s worth the grind.

When you activate Rocket Backpack, your Dragon Duke doesn’t target a specific building. Instead, he flies in a straight line straight through the center of the base and out the other side. That line is everything. Think of it like drawing an attack path with a very angry arrow. While flying, the Duke becomes untargetable—traps won’t trigger, Clan Castle troops stay asleep, and even Spell Towers can’t mess with him. The only exception is Hidden Teslas, which still pop up like uninvited guests. That means you can clear critical defenses along that line: Air Defenses, Sweepers, core defenses, and Spell Towers. You’re basically removing the teeth from the base before your main army even starts.

Here’s the catch: placement is brutal. The Duke always flies through the center of the base, so if your angle is off by even a tiny bit, the whole thing falls apart. You get a nice 72% and a lot of self-reflection. At low levels, the equipment feels underwhelming—like you spent ore on a firecracker. The real power kicks in at higher levels, where the damage turns into genuine base-shaping control. So if you’re going to use it, commit. Half-investing is like bringing one wall breaker to a siege.
